MISSFITZ CONFESSION: I’m an addict. I have a problem. I can’t stop. It interferes with my daily life. It wreaks havoc with my finances. Put as plainly as possible– I am OBSESSED with pedalboards. It’s not a glamorous existence, kids– I encourage you to NOT get hooked. Obviously for many musicians, gear-gazing is kind of pØrn-Ø-graphic, only awesomer. Every pedalboard says something about the guitarist who plays through it; every guitarist has a sonic endgame, and the pedalboard plays a huge part in achieving that goal.
THE QUEST FOR THE HOLY GRAIL: You may have read about this on TMZ or Perez Hilton, but not long ago, Axe-Static_Process put out a bounty on a picture of Monte Pittman’s rig. No bounty hunter rose to the challenge, either because the mission was too deadly (!) or because we are the only people nerdy enough to want to see it. Just when we were about to give up hope… a proverbial shining white knight came galloping in to save us: Monte Pittman himself!
He recently took the time to send us this picture of his current board:
For anyone who has checked out his past pedalboards from the Madonna tours, you’ll notice that this board has lots of new stuff on it, alongside some staples of his Madonna rig (Adrenalinn, anyone?!)… We will be updating the Sticky & Sweet Gear Page with all of the newly identified pedals (wall warts and all!), along with some detailed info on Monte’s current Orange amplifiers that he was kind enough to send our way.
SUMMATION: In addition to being a hellaciously good musician (*if* you were to need proof of this, you could simply compare his work with Madonna to his work with Prong to his solo stuff– what CAN’T he do?!), he’s obviously one hell of a guy.

Monte’s solo album is out. “The Deepest Dark”– love it!! It’s a privilege watching him perform on Adam Lambert’s tour!
I’ve had the pleasure of being friends with Monte for about 11yrs. Besides being a great dude, loving family man, and major Star Wars nerd like me, he is one of the most talented guitarist around.
