Sticky & Sweet Book Review

When Madonna’s friend & manager, Guy Oseary announced that he will be releasing a photographic memoir to cherish one of the most successful tours ever made, the Sticky & Sweet Tour, I couldn’t see the time to have it in my hands! At first it was supposed to be out on November 2009, but like the S&S DVD/Blu-Ray, it was delayed for a couple of months. I finally got it this morning!

Sticky & Sweet Book

Unlike the Confessions, it doesn’t have a glossy cover, but it has glossy pages! (it’s exactly the opposite of the Confessions book) and it’s bigger in size. It includes more backstage photos, where we can see the dancers, band and crew getting ready for the show before the Candy Shop opens.

The photographs are in setlist order, but they don’t mention the venue where they were taken.  However it lists all the cities and dates of the 2008 tour in 2 separate pages. Having unlimited stage access, Guy was able to capture the feeling of the show and remind us the very special moments some very lucky people (including myself) were able to experience! (FYI it includes photos only from the 2008 leg)

All in all, it’s a great souvenir from the tour and even if you’re not a collector (which I’m not) it’s a must have for every Madonna fan!

P.S. The book is supposed to be a limited edition of 7,500 copies, but some people who got it said that the serial number was something like 7624… so maybe it’s be a trick to boost the sales… :\
