Guitar Goddess: Orianthi

Most of us met Orianthi through Michael Jackson’s rehearsal footage, for what it was supposed to be his last tour. For those of you who don’t know her yet, Orianthi is a 25 year old Australian Guitar Goddess, who released her album “Believe” last October, looks up to guitar legends Santana and Steve Vai and also makes the ASP girls (among -we hope- many others) to pick up their guitars and practice practice practice! We think it was about time a female guitarist showed up on the scene to kick some axes!

Orianthi

Our friends from Lick Library met with Orianthi at NAMM and Stuart Bull asked her about trying to balance the demands of record producers and a more ‘pop’ career, with her artistic freedom. In response she simply tells of her feelings gratitude that she is doing what she loves – playing guitar. Check out the exclusive interview!

Great addition to your web page. I think someone is missing their calling as a journalist. Keep up the great work!
