Adam Lambert & Glam-band on Conan

Check out Adam’s performance of “Whataya want from me” at the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien! Monte had his sparkly Gibson Melody Maker (doesn’t it look AMAZING?!?) and his white & purple sparkle Orange Amps (Rockerverbs 100). Last time we saw the custom purple Oranges was back in 2008 during the “Hard Candy Promo Tour“. Great seeing them again!

Tommy (bass) borrowed Monte’s white & purple sparkle Orange bass amps and with Longineu’s black sparkle drum set, it was definitely a very sparkly performance!

Next show for Adam is on December 16th at “So you think you can dance!” Don’t miss it!

Tremendous! A superstar! Love the song, great beat and lyric. Except…you have performed this on Ellen, The View, Jimmy Kimmel, Letterman, Conan, and the Early Show…you have so many great songs on your album….please sing something else. Show the World another performance as you are great at so many….Mix it up Please…I want you to succeed. Show people your versatility…

I know what you mean, but “Whataya want from me?” is Adam’s current single!
Plus not everyone uses youtube or catches every show that Adam is on!

I’m sure he has more surprises for us… we just have to be patient! :)

Where is this Glam Band thing coming from? I think it’s kinda rude for the fans to decide to arbitrarily “name” Adam’s band. Especially a name like that. I see the Twitter spamming the guys insisting on that name. Nothing like a LABEL and dating them sticking them with a trendy [goofy] name that won’t ever hold up if they’re lucky enough to stay together.

Also they are not a “real” signed band to a label Monte even said so. He doesn’t have to go thru any label for access. They are backup musicians to the soloist and it makes a difference. They are NOT going to assume a name unless they are an actual linked up financially band.

Debbie. The point is to sell the single.

    allusion,
The Glam-Band “label” is just something I made up for fun! If you look around at ASP, you’ll see that we always give the spotlight to the musicians, therefor we could not just post “Adam on Conan O’Brien”, we want to mention the band too.

But they are 4 and we can’t name them all on the title on the article. That’s what the “glam-band” is all about.

Me or Miss Fitz have never asked the guys/girl on Twitter to give us a band name. But I see what you mean, and I think you’re taking things a little bit too seriously. Nothing wrong with just having some fun on twitter.

The band knows exactly what to do (and not to). And they know we love them. That’s it!

    Seriously??

Whataya Want From Me is the single. That’s what they are going to perform all over. If they do something extra once in a while, great, but expect the single.

As for the Glam-Band name. It’s cute. It’s all in fun. It’s not for real and “it ain’t that deep, people.” Have some fun. No one ever said this is going to be the name of the band for the future.

I’m a bit confused. When I hear the name “Glam Band,” I solely think of it as a nickname. Adam is frequently referred to as “The Glittery Alien from Planet Fierce” and Monte is referred to as the “Montster.” I love all those names, as they usually come about spontaneously and just catch on. I by no means would consider these names that would actually be used by these artists as their “professional” or band name. It’s pure fun between fans and the artist/band that they love and that’s it. It’s Rock N Roll….. it ain’t that deep!

If it were up to me I would call them the Planet Fierce. But they have decided to go with no name right now, glamband is just a nickname.

My 2¢? Ha, I’m stoked to have our first major philosophical treatise here in the comments of ASP!!! Cross another thing off my Bucket List… :)

For the record, I think due to the fact that they ARE hired players almost necessitates some kind of nickname in order to give them credit where credit is due. They’re a great group of musicians (our bread and butter here at ASP!) and I prefer calling them almost anything over calling them “Adam Lambert’s Backing Band.” I’d go watch them play without Mr. L :)

My fingers are crossed for a tour in this same incarnation.
