Here at ASP, we aim to bring you the latest in Madonna music news, along with keeping you up to speed on the various projects that her current and former musicians are involved in.

Ric’key Pageot working on Dessy Di Lauro’s new album

Vacation is an unknown word for most active musicians on this earth. So after Ric’key Pageot wrapped up  Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour, he started working on Adam Lambert’s album and as soon as that was done and mastered, he had already another project in his pocket!

Ric’key is currently working (composing, programming, recording and producing) Dessy Di Lauro’s new album! Ric’key says “It’s fire” so we’d better take his word for it!

“Celebration” nominated for Best Dance Recording Grammy!

Celebration

Madonna’s ‘Celebration’ single is nominated in the “Best Dance Recording” category at this year’s Grammy Awards. Other nominees in the category include Britney Spears, The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga and David Guetta.

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will take place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on January 31, 2010 and will be broadcasted live on CBS.

DJ Enferno is kicking off his Canadian Tour tomorrow, December 3rd at the Foundation Lounge/Restaurant in Ottawa! (18-b York Street Ottawa, Ontario). We’ll keep you updated for his upcoming shows, so stay tuned!

Nicki Richards on world tour with Whitney Houston

From on diva to the next? That’s just the way it goes for Nicki Richards, who had only a couple of months to recharge her batteries, before putting her dancing shoes on again to join another music legend – Whitney Houston! Nicki has already appeared with Whitney Houston on the UK & Italian X-Factor, as well as at the American Music Awards  and on “Dancing with the Stars” last week.

Nicki is currently rehearsing for Whitney’s upcoming tour which will kick off with 2 concerts in Russia! The first concert is on December 9th at Moscow’s Olympiisky Arena and the second one is on December 12th at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg.

So if you’re in Russia, hurry up and get your tickets to enjoy what is expected to be a great show!

Adam & Glam-band on Ellen!

Adam Lambert and his glam-band were on the Ellen DeGeneres Show today! Adam performed “Whataya want from me?” and was also interviewed by Ellen. Adam’s band consists of Monte Pittman on guitar & backing vocals, Lisa Harriton on keys & backing vocals, Longineu Parsons on drums and TommyJoe Ratliff on bass.

Madonna just finished writing a script for the movie “W.E.”, so it will take a while before we get a new album! In the meanwhile we are all waiting for the Sticky & Sweet Tour DVD/CD!

Adam Lambert meets his favorite Idol

Remember a few months ago when we informed you that Adam Lambert met the Queen of Pop herself? Here’s some extra tidbit about that meeting in New York…

US Magazine: Talk about meeting Madonna.
AL: I freaked out! I went to her house a few months ago and her son David answered the door.  Then she swooped in and told me “If we do something together, I’m pretty bossy”. I’m like “I’ve heard!”

Adam Lambert & Madonna=total hotness!

It was no other than Monte Pittman who hooked up Adam and Madonna in New York last May, as she was preparing for her summer tour.

Adam’s album “For You Entertainment” dropped last week and it selling out pretty fast! Our thoughts? His album seriously ROCKS and every track is giving something different to listen, to feel and explore!

Adam worked with many musicians on this album, including Muse, Pink, Lady Gaga and Orianthi. If Adam ever gets to work with Madonna that would be completely axe-static!
