Remember a few months ago when we informed you that Adam Lambert met the Queen of Pop herself? Here’s some extra tidbit about that meeting in New York…

US Magazine: Talk about meeting Madonna.
AL: I freaked out! I went to her house a few months ago and her son David answered the door.  Then she swooped in and told me “If we do something together, I’m pretty bossy”. I’m like “I’ve heard!”

It was no other than Monte Pittman who hooked up Adam and Madonna in New York last May, as she was preparing for her summer tour.

Adam’s album “For You Entertainment” dropped last week and it selling out pretty fast! Our thoughts? His album seriously ROCKS and every track is giving something different to listen, to feel and explore!

Adam worked with many musicians on this album, including Muse, Pink, Lady Gaga and Orianthi. If Adam ever gets to work with Madonna that would be completely axe-static!

La Isla Bonita & Material Girl Fingerstyle Solos!

The weekend is near so it’s a perfect time to pick up your guitar and play some of your fave melodies! We just stumbled upon 2 Madonna guitar lessons with fingerstyle solo techniques and would like to share them with you. Keep in mind that these lessons may not be suitable for players who just started learning guitar.

First we have “La Isla Bonita” , probably one of the few songs that can be re-invented so many times and in so many different ways and still sound brilliant and make you fall in love with San Pedro ;)

Steve Sidelnyk – The Motivator

Marcus Brown and Steve Sidelnyk who were touring with Seal, successfully ended their shows last week. Check out this video that was recorded on November 8th during the show in Brisbane (Australia) in which Seal introduces his band to the audience and takes the opportunity to talk about Steve who had his birthday!

Seal said about Steve that “Apart from being the most excellent musician and a professional, Steve is a motivator. Every day is a great day for Steve. There is no such thing as a bad day.”

Adam Lambert on the Early Show

Adam Lambert and his band were the guests this morning on the Early Show (CBS)! Adam performed “Whataya Want from Me?” and “Music Again”.  It was really amazing to see Adam singing perfectly so early in the morning! If you missed it you can watch the 1st song here!

Monte Pittman nailed the “Music Again” solo (watch it here!) with his custom Gibson Les Paul, the same one he used for Madonna’s “Burning Up” solo (Re-Invention Tour) and the “Heartbeat” solo (Sticky & Sweet Tour) plugged in -as usual- to Orange Rockerverbs!

Adam was also asked by one of the fans that were gathered outside of the studio, how he put his band together. Adam mentioned that he and Monte knew each other from the Citizen Vein days! (video). Longineu Parsons is on drums, Lisa Harriton on keyboards and Tommy Joe Ratliff on bass.

2009 AMA’s Madge-icians Performances

Before getting on with our favourite artists’ acts at the 2009 American Music Awards, we have to point out that there was a Sticky & Sweet re-union backstage at the AMA’s last night!

The gorgeous Nicki Richards sent a bubble-tweet of her and the Montster (aka Monte Pittman) just before the show! Check it out!

American Music Awards – Tonight!!!

It’s finally time!!! Tonight are the American Music Awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, where many world known artists (including Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Rihanna, Shakira, Eminem) are going to perform, while others are going to show the music fans around the earth just how GLAM they can get For Your Entertainment!

As we’ve already mentioned in a previous post here at ASP, Monte Pittman will rock with his white Gibson Flying V (w/Bill Lawrence pickups) on the side of Adam Lambert and Nicki Richards will be singing backup for Whitney Houston!

And there’s more to it! Kevin Antunes and Brian Frasier-Moore who also were in Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour, will perform with Timbaland! Behind the scenes hero- Steve Borisenko, who was Madonna’s guitar tech in the S&S Tour, is now Nuno Bettencourt’s tech who plays with Rihanna tonight!

So get ready for what is expected to be a really great show! Hold your breaths till the very end — the rumour has it that Adam will close the show! –IB
